WPT® and Monster® Headphones Officially Kick Off Exclusive Partnership with Debut of New Monster Bar
World Poker Tour returns to Los Angeles, CA for one of its longest running and most popular events when the WPT LA Poker Classic begins at Commerce Casino on Saturday, March 1, 2014.
A staple on tour since Season I, the WPT LA Poker Classic has a storied history that has produced some of World Poker Tour’s most memorable moments and notable champions, including Gus Hansen, Michael Mizrachi, Antonio Esfandiari, and Phil Ivey. This year, another star-studded field including Faraz Jaka, John Racener, WPT Champions Club members Erick Lindgren, Mohsin Charania, Noah Schwartz, Matt Salsberg, Marvin Rettenmaier, and Paul Klann will gather in Los Angeles to take their shot at capturing this coveted title.
“As the highlight of Commerce Casino’s six week, 60-tournament series, the WPT LA Poker Classic remains one of the most popular events on our schedule and one of the most prestigious titles in poker,” said WPT President Adam Pliska. “Twelve years into our partnership, our relationship with Commerce Casino is stronger than ever, and we look forward to working with them on even more world-class events that keep players coming back to this incredible property for many years to come.”
The WPT LA Poker Classic also marks the official start of World Poker Tour’s partnership with Monster Products, whom WPT selected as its official headphone provider because of Monster’s heritage in high-performance audio, creativity, and its proven track record of building brands in the audio space. As part of this partnership, WPT will debut its new Monster Bar, which will provide players with a convenient location to try out Monster’s critically-acclaimed DNA™ headphones, which are recognizable for their unique forward- thinking design and Pure Monster Sound™. During the televised final table, the Monster Bar will also serve as home to a guest Monster DJ who will entertain the crowd during breaks in filming using Monster’s unique GO-DJ, which packs a full studio’s worth of pro gear into a single, pocket-sized controller.
Sponsored by ClubWPT.com, the WPT LA Poker Classic will be filmed for broadcast on FOX Sports Networks and will feature WPT Commentators Mike Sexton and Vince Van Patten, along with Anchor Lynn Gilmartin, and Raw Deal Analyst Tony Dunst.
Commerce Casino is running a full schedule of preliminary events and satellites, including daily mega- and super-satellites, into the WPT LA Poker Classic Championship event. The full schedule of upcoming WPT events around the world can be found at WPT.com.
