Last night on Fox Sports 1 at 9pm ET/6pm ET, the inaugural WPT Alpha8 episode hit the airwaves with the first of four episodes covering WPT Alpha8 Florida, held at the prestigious Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
This inaugural event on the WPT Alpha8 tour garnered a total of 21 entries with 18 of those being unique players, all who put up $100,000 per buy-in to be part of this historic event. Three players were eliminated before the end of the re-entry period and chose to try their luck once again, putting them in for $200,000 each.
On the line for those 18 players was a spot at the first WPT Alpha8 final table and a shot at the $891,660 first-place prize.
As the march to the first WPT Alpha8 champion continues next Sunday, those of you who missed last night’s episode can catch the re-air on Tuesday at 8:30pm ET/5:30pm PT.
