 Los Angeles, CA (September 30, 2020) The World Poker Tour® and partypoker have concluded the incredible WPT® World Online Championships series culminating in $100,746,175 awarded to players and five new WPT Champions Club members crowned.

The second online collaboration between WPT and partypoker resulted in another breakthrough series for the players with buy-ins for the WPT World Online Championships ranging from $5.50 up to $102,000.

Five players put their name on the Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup during the festival. These names include:

The UK’s Gavin Cochrane, who opened the series by taking down the 8-Max event for $540,664.

High Roller specialist Nick Petrangelo who won the 6-Max event to add $494,550 to his career accolades.

Ireland’s Daniel Smyth turned a $33 satellite into $428,391 in the Knockout event by defeating a final table that included WPT Champion Ryan Riess.

The Mix-Max event went to Russia’s Andrey Kotelnikov, who earned $488,508 for an impressive final table performance.

Phil Mighall, also from the UK, won the largest prize of the series when he won the $10,300 buy-in WPT Main Event for $1.55 million versus a field of 1,011 entries and the largest prize pool of Season XVIII.

All WPT Champions were awarded added prizes including a Hublot watch, Everyday Baccarat Tumblers, and a $15,000 seat to the WPT Tournament of Champions presented by Baccarat Crystal, added to the prize pool by partypoker.

The WPT World Online Championships leaderboard crowned another Russian player in Artur Martirosyan.  Martirosyan’s spectacular series featured 17 cashes, 11 final tables, three wins, and $1.5 million in winnings. Among Martirosyan’s final tables included a seat in the Knockout Championship event. Martirosyan wins $50,000 for defeating tough competition, including WPT Champion Scott Margereson.

partypoker added $75,000 in total prizes to the leaderboard and $25,000 to the Rising Star leaderboard, won by Brazil’s Luiz Antonio Silva Constantino De Melo.
