WPT® Season Pass to offer users exclusive access to WPT Seasons 18 and 19 via ThetaDrop Web3 Video Portal, complete with live chat features and an ad-free experience.

San Jose, CA (September 15, 2022) – Theta Labs and WPT® will collaborate to launch the first ever Web3-based digital season pass for a TV show. The WPT Season Pass, released exclusively on Theta blockchain, effectively grants users a 12-month license to WPT content. This innovation is possible due to Theta’s patented Digital Collectables DRM technology, allowing media companies or individual creators to license their content linked to specific tokens on Theta blockchain. This makes the WPT Season Pass transferable and can be transferred or sold to other users who then have their own 12-month license.

The WPT Season Pass will be available for sale on ThetaDrop, as well as airdropped for free to all existing WPT NFT holders on ThetaDrop. The WPT Season Pass offers holders access to Season 19 live with no commercials, including all new episodes premiering every Sunday through Feb 2023. It also grants access to digital Season 18 WPT videos not available anywhere else.
