It has been an amazing year for WPT Boot Camp alumni. First, Sean Jazayeri won WPT LA Poker Classic back in March and now another WPT Boot Camp alum has made a deep run in yet another huge poker tournament, the WSOP Main Event. Robert Buckenmayer placed 17th in that event, winning $369,026 for his efforts.
Yesterday, after seven grueling days of poker and outlasting all but 16 of the 6,598 players who ponied up the $10,000 buy-in, Buckenmayer’s incredible run came to an end when his A-Q ran into the A-K of Wilfried Harig to send him home just eight short of the final table.
Proudly sporting his WPT Boot Camp patch, Buckenmayer turned the knowledge he gained by attending the most recent WPT Boot Camp, which took place just a couple of weeks ago, into an impressive payday, placing higher in this prestigious event than most seasoned professional poker players ever have.
Combine his results with that of Jazayeri and the benefits of WPT Boot Camp are becoming more and more obvious and valuable to poker players of all levels. There are different types of camps happening all over the country, featuring a variety of WPT Boot Camp’s world-renowned instructors.
