This past year has been incredible for WPT Boot Camp alumni and we couldn’t be prouder!
Poker victories come in all shapes and sizes, from the cash-game player who bumps up their hourly win rate to the tournament player who wins it all. All of these victories are strong accomplishments…but here are a few highlights of 2011:
- Jerome Moon took first place in the $1,000 event at the Bellagio Doyle Brunson Five Diamond World Poker Classic for $41,908.
- James Jewell final-tabled the WSOP Seniors Event for $100,594.
- Bob Carbone finished in the top three at the WPT Foxwoods Championship for $166,251.
When WPT Boot Camp first started, poker education was on a much lower plane. Basically, all you could do was try to find some books and check out some websites…and then you were on your own. You CAN learn that way-but it is a long, slow, and often discouraging process.
