The Season XIII Borgata Winter Poker Open resumed on Monday with Day 1B of the Main Event. A total of 629 entries took to the felt and after eight levels of play, about 375 of them bagged up and will join the 159 Day 1A survivors to play on Day 2. The total field size is set at 989 entries and roughly 534 players remain.

Leading the Day 1B bunch is Matt Itkin with 221,200. A late hand in Level 8 against Champions Club member Matthew Waxman pushed Itkin above the 200,000-mark, en route to sezing the chip lead. Also bagging big stacks were Barry Hutter (191,300), Cathy Dever (169,600), Brent Roberts (167,400), Walter Fisher (166,400), and past Borgata winner member Anthony Zinno (162,000).

Others who survived include WPT live stream host and DraftKings qualifer Tony Dunst (52,200), along with BLUFF.com WPT Ones To Watch Kristy Arnett (46,100) and Garrett Greer (5,500). Despite just having seven big blinds, Greer pointed out that he had just eight big blinds prior to his first WPT cash back at the LA Poker Classic in Season X! and feels just fine with a short stack

Among those who failed to survive the day include Ebony Kenney, Paul Volpe, Ronnie Bardah, Matt Matros, and Amanda Musumeci.

Day 2 is scheduled to start at 12pm ET Tuesday. Prizepool and payout information should be available once play begins, so be sure to tune back in tomorrow for updates on all of the action. We will have complete chip counts and seat assignments as soon as they are available.
