WPT EveryOne for One Drop: Phil Ivey Arrives, $2.5M For First

The WPT EveryOne for One Drop breezed past the $10 million guarantee on Tuesday with more 971 players entering the event on Day 1C to push the total prize pool past $16 million.

Around 9:40 PM last night registration closed in the World Poker Tour EveryOne for One Drop and one of the very last players to register was Phil Ivey.

Ivey, who bagged 142,500 from a 40,000 starting stack, was one of 971 Day 1C entries that pushed the field to 1,676 and generated a $16,257,200 prize pool. The eventual champion will walk away with $2,561,480 while each of the first three finishers will all earn a seven-figure score.

With 537 players surviving the opening flights, the overall chip leader is Joey LeBrun with 614,000. No other player crested the 500,000 chip mark. The next closest competitors to LeBrun are Yifu He (437,000), Cord Garcia (424,500), and Stephen Song (406,500).

Other notables still with a chance of finding a score in the ‘ultimate summer saver’ include Mikita Badziakouski, Ankush Mandavia, 2003 World Series of Poker Main Event champ Chris Moneymaker, Sergio Aido, reigning GPI Female Player of the Year Cherish Andrews, WPT Global Ambassador Ethan ‘Rampage’ Yau, and John Juanda.

With $200 from each buy-in going to the OneDrop Foundation, a total of $335,200 was raised for the charity.
