A few months ago, it was announced that WPTDeepStacks would come to Paris for the first time in 2020. In an exciting partnership, WPT has joined forces with Club Pierre Charron (Groupe Marval) and together they will bring a whole series of WPTDS events to the French capital in February 2020.
Club Pierre Charron is located in the heart of the city, near the Champs-Elysées. The state-of-the-art facility will open very soon. It will feature more than 40 tables, meaning it can boast it has the largest gaming space in Paris and holds the most poker tables in the city.
Not only that but the partnership is guaranteed to run until at least 2023.
The WPT and Paris have a long history that can be traced all the way back to Season I, where in July 2003, David Benyamine took the crown in the Grand Prix de Paris as well as $410,886 for his efforts.
Fast forward to more recent years and it was Mohsin Charania who triumphed in the most recent edition of the Grand Prix de Paris. Charania netted €328,750 ten years later than Benyamine, in 2013.
For those who would like to be a part of the inaugural WPTDS Paris event at this fantastic venue, there is a lot to get excited about. The festival will take place from February 21-March 2 and feature a variety of tournaments for players to get involved in.
The pinnacle of the series, the WPTDS Main Event, will play from February 27-March 2 and will feature a €1,500 buy-in.
