Las Vegas, NV (March 28, 2023) – The World Poker Tour® and One Drop Foundation are thrilled to announce that the first wave of prominent charity events of their partnership will be hosted by the prestigious Wynn Las Vegas during the 2023 Wynn Summer Classic.
“We are proud to once again pair up with Wynn Las Vegas as the host venue for our maiden WPT EveryOne for One Drop event, and the return of Alpha 8, during the Wynn Summer Classic,” said WPT® CEO Adam Pliska. “It is remarkable how quickly these events came together, but not surprising given One Drop’s worthy charitable cause of ensuring sustainable access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene to communities around the world.”
The WPT One Drop Foundation events, in conjunction with the World Poker Tour Foundation™, begin with WPT EveryOne for One Drop at Wynn Las Vegas on July 9. The $10,500 buy-in event boasts a $10 million guarantee, runs three Day 1s, and will conclude on July 14 with a livestreamed final table.
The second charity event is WPT Alpha 8 for One Drop at Wynn Las Vegas, a $111,000 high roller tournament, which will commence on July 14. The six-figure feature will be livestreamed beginning on Day 2 and continue with the final-table finale on July 16.
While the players will be pursuing hefty prize pools in both events, the One Drop Foundation is sure to come out a winner, with a portion of the entry fee from both events being donated directly to the One Drop Foundation.
