With Season XII winding down, things are heating up in the WPT Player of the Year race. Mukul Pahuja (pictured) has been holding onto a slim lead since finishing fourth at the WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star in March. Pahuja has three top-8 finishes this season, with two televised WPT Final Tables, and another 30th-place finish to enter this tournament with 2,250 points.

Even though Pahuja is the current leader in the Season XII WPT Player of the Year race and can really add to his POY lead and distance himself from the competition depending on what happens today, there is still one player in the field who can catch him, Barry Hutter. However, while it’s still mathematically possible for Hutter to catch Pahuja, he’d have to win the whole tournament at this point to pull into the lead.

Here are the current Top 10 standing for WPT Player of the Year:

1. Mukul Pahuja – 2,250
2. Shaun Suller – 2,150
3. Dylan Wilkerson – 2,100
4. Jared Jaffee – 1,900
5. James Calderaro – 1,725
6. Jordan Cristos – 1,550
7. Chris Moorman – 1,400
7. Dan Smith – 1,400
7. James Carroll – 1,400
7. Vasili Firsau – 1,400
