WPT President Adam Pliska has provided the following statement in response to some player concerns over the dates of the partypoker WPT World Championship at Borgata.

We have noticed player concerns speculating about a clash between scheduling of the partypoker WPT World Championship and PokerStars EPT Grand Final in Monte Carlo.

This potential conflict was always something we were acutely aware of, and we have been in close discussions with EPT organizers to find the best solution for players who want to play both events. Fortunately, there is only the slightest overlap and players can play both events – the only exception being those that make the final table of the WPT Main Event.

The final table of the WPT Main event occurs on Saturday April 26, and Day 1A of the EPT Main Event occurs on the same day. Day 1B of the EPT Main Event takes place on Sunday April 27, and players are able to enter prior to the start of the EPT Day 2 on Monday April 28.

We will continue to work with other tours for the benefit of the poker community. The tight nature of this scheduling was unavoidable, but we feel we have done our best to accommodate players.

We hope to see many of you at the partypoker WPT World Championship at the Borgata, and look forward to crowning a new Champion in April.
