Las Vegas, NV (March 27, 2024) The World Poker Tour® will once again be a part of the player favorite Wynn Summer Classic at Wynn Las Vegas. This year the iconic WPT® high-stakes competition will present a three-event schedule aptly dubbed the WPT Alpha8® Trifecta.

“Last year, WPT witnessed a grand resurgence of the Alpha8 brand, which all began with a successful summer event at Wynn Las Vegas,” said WPT CEO Adam Pliska. “We are taking it a step further this time around by hosting three Alpha8 high rollers at this amazing venue.”

Beginning in late June, the WPT Alpha8 Trifecta will run a sequence of three, two-day tournaments each with a buy-in of $25,000. The event dates include:

  • June 25-26
  • July 3-4
  • July 10-11

“We are honored to include the WPT Alpha8 Trifecta as a part of our Wynn Summer Classic,” said Ryan Beauregard, Executive Director of Poker Operations at Wynn Las Vegas. “The Alpha8 moniker has an impressive history of past champions, and I look forward to treating each and every player to the full Wynn player experience.”

The Alpha8 Trifecta will also feature a points leaderboard across all events, awarding the top eight finishers with a $10,400 seat to the 2024 WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas in December. The leaderboard will track the placement and tally points of players cashing in any of the three events. “This race is meant to be a fun challenge amongst the high stakes players, and both Wynn and WPT are excited to provide more than $80,000 in seats as added value,” said Beauregard.

In 2023, WPT Season XXI saw three Alpha8 events completed, won by Jonathan Jaffe ($1,537,600), Steve O’Dwyer ($1,009,520), and Ren Lin ($1,045,781). Additionally, Bin Weng ($958,279) outlasted 194 runners in the most recent $25,000 joint venture, held during the 2023 WPT World Championship festival at Wynn Las Vegas.

The Wynn Summer Classic features 98 events and more than $37 Million in guaranteed prize pools. For more information, please visit wynnpoker.com.
