In October, WPT Royal Flush Girl Brittany bell was crowned Miss Universe Guam, sweeping every category and securing a spot in the 63rd-Annual Miss Universe Pageant. Brittany, 27, will compete for the ultimate crown and the title of Miss Universe 2015 in front of millions of viewers on NBC on January 25, 2015 in Miami, Florida.

A graduate from Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism, Brittany was born of her mother’s Chamoru heritage combined with her father’s Native American/West Indian/African American mix. No stranger to premier pageant competitions, she was crowned Miss Arizona in 2010. Brittany was also a member of the Phoenix Suns Dancers from 2006-2009.

“In Guam, there was a point in history when generations were scolded for speaking in Chamoru and eventually it even stopped much of the younger generations from learning the language of their heritage,” Brittany says.
