The last regular event of Season XII – before the WPT World Championship later this month – kicks off tomorrow when WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown returns to Hollywood, Fla. Featuring the largest guarantee ($5,000,000) ever placed on a tournament with a $3,500 buy-in, this tournament will draw hundreds, if not thousands, of poker players to South Florida to play for one of the biggest prize pools on the World Poker Tour this year. Along with the huge guarantee, this event will also give players three starting day options and unlimited re-entries up until the start of level 7 with an option for same day re-entries.
Last season’s event, which featured a $5,000 buy-in, saw 542 entries generate a prize pool of $2,547,000 and awarded eventual WPT Champion Kevin Eyster an impressive $660,395. This season’s event – with it’s more accessible buy-in, unlimited re-entries and a guaranteed prize pool of almost double last year’s – promises to be a massive must-play event. All three starting days get underway at Noon ET with the traditional “Shuffle Up and Deal.”
