Las Vegas, NV (Aug. 11, 2022) – The World Poker Tour® and Wynn Las Vegas confirm the complete tournament schedule for the historic WPT® World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas event this December. Alongside the WPT World Championship with a record-setting $15 million guarantee, the complete 23-event festival schedule features more than $22 million in guaranteed prize pools.
The full festival lineup has 12 newly-added No Limit Hold’em events, as well as H.O.R.S.E., Omaha 8-or-Better, and an 8-Game Mix tournament. These join the previously-announced WPT World Championship, WPT Prime Championship, and WPT Ladies Championship events – all of which will be televised – along with the popular Wynn Mystery Bounty.
“Our goal is to develop the WPT World Championship into one of the most talked about poker events of the year,” said Adam Pliska, WPT CEO. “Partnering with Wynn Las Vegas has allowed us to put the player experience first and the festival schedule reflects that.”
The festival kicks off on Dec. 1 with a $500,000 guarantee No Limit Hold’em event that has a $600 buy-in and six starting flights that run through Dec. 3. This is one of 16 total No Limit Hold’em events on the schedule.
Mixed game aficionados will notice a pair of championship events on the schedule, H.O.R.S.E. and Omaha 8-or-Better, running Dec. 12 and 13 respectively. Each carries a $1,100 buy-in and has a $100,000 guarantee. The $3,000 8-Game Mix event on Dec. 8 has a $200,000 guarantee.
The marquee events are the WPT World Championship with a $10,400 buy-in and $15 million guarantee; the WPT Prime Championship with a $1,100 buy-in and $2 million guarantee; and the inaugural WPT Ladies Championship that has a $1,100 buy-in for female competitors and a $200,000 guarantee.
The final multi-flight tournament occurring December 16-19 is the $2 million guarantee Wynn Mystery Bounty, where players have a chance to draw for cash prizes up to $100,000 after eliminating fellow competitors. The buy-in is $1,600.
The festival wraps on Dec. 19 with the $600 Tag Team Bomb Pot.
The festival schedule is supported by a robust satellite offering for the WPT World Championship, WPT Prime Championship, WPT Ladies Championship, and the Wynn Mystery Bounty. There are 220 seats guaranteed across various festival events. The highlight of the satellite schedule, occurring on Dec. 11 at noon, is the 50-seat guarantee to the $10,400 WPT World Championship. Five more satellites will occur December 10-13, each of which guarantee an additional 10 seats will be awarded to the $10,400 World Championship.
