July 17, 2020 sees the first WPT World Online Championship get started and as if there weren’t enough reasons to get excited already, WPT and partypoker are adding two huge leaderboards to the event, guaranteeing massive payouts to the those who make the biggest impact on the series.
Player of the Championship
A total of $75K in prizes are up for grabs in the first leaderboard, with a whopping $50K going to the player who finishes on top. A total of ten prizes will be won and all you have to do to qualify is reach the money stages of a WPT World Online Championship event that has a buy-in of $300 or more. Simple!
Points will be calculated according to the position reached, the buy-in and the number of entrants, using the formula below:

Rising Star
For those of you accustomed to playing more modestly priced events, don’t worry we’ve got you covered! All the greats started somewhere, and this could be your chance to start climbing the ranks to join them.
Another ten prizes will be awarded to those at the top of the table, giving you the opportunity to play for a share of $25K with the Rising Star champion taking home $10K to add to their bankroll!
To qualify, simply reach the money stages of any WPT World Online Championship event that has a buy-in of less than $300 and you will win leaderboard points.
Once again, points will be calculated according to the position reached, the buy-in and the number of entrants, using the formula below:

b = buy-in
Importantly, only the top 10 results for each player will be used so it is not about the number of results that are notched up, but rather about achieving deep runs. This leaderboard will not be a grind – anyone can win it!
