WPT500 is coming to Southern California this December with a $1 million guarantee as part of the WPT® Gardens Poker Championship series. 16 starting flights are available to play WPT500 Los Angeles across three weekends, giving everyone a chance to get in on the action. The full event takes place from December 14-January 5.
The Gardens Casino is one of the most well-respected poker venues in the United States, with its abundant cash games and officially-branded WPT Tournament Room. Since Season XVII, Gardens has hosted three WPT Main Tour events along with WPT500 Los Angeles in Season XVI.
3,266 entries took part in the Season XVI WPT500 Los Angeles, where Dong Le took down the biggest portion of the prize pool to the tune of $244,500. In total, the prize pool netted out at $1.633 million. Since then, The Gardens Casino has continued to grow in stature across the poker landscape, including a place among the WPT televised event schedule.
Frank Stepuchin won the first WPT Gardens Poker Championship in Season XVII to claim more than $548,000 at the televised final table at HyperX Esports Arena. The $10,000 buy-in WPT Gardens Poker Championship returns to The Gardens Casino in January 2020 for five days of poker from January 9-13, before heading to Las Vegas in March for the televised final table.
