Please find below the current rules and scoring system regarding the WPT India Player of the Year award that was announced in May 2017.

Qualifying Events:

– Deltin Poker Tour Goa including $540 Main Event – July 20-24, 2017
– Deltin Poker Tour Goa including $540 Main Event – September 6-11, 2017
– WPTDeepStacks India including $1,000 Main Event – November 7-13, 2017

Additional eligible events may be added as they are announced.

Scoring Rules:

Scoring will be based finishing position, buy-in amount, and number of entrants in the tournament, as follows.

  1. Place Finished

The top 10 players will be awarded points, and a player must cash to receive points.

1st place: 100 points
2nd place: 90 points
3rd place: 80 points
4th place: 70 points
5th place: 60 points
6th place: 50 points
7th place: 40 points
8th place: 30 points
9th place: 20 points
10th place: 10 points

  1. Field-Size Multiplier

– Less than 100 entries: 1x multiplier
– 101-250 entries: 2x multiplier
– 251-500 entries: 3x multiplier
– 501-1,000 entries: 5x multiplier
– More than 1,000 entries: 8x multiplier

  1. Buy-In Multiplier (USD)

All WPT500 events qualify as 2 points. Currencies for non-WPT500 events will be adjusted to the USD equivalent as per the XE.com rate applicable on the opening day of the tour stop.

– Buy-in under $500: 1x multiplier
– $501-$1,000 buy-in: 2x multiplier
– $1,001-$2,000 buy-in: 3x multiplier
– $2,001-$5,000 buy-in: 5x multiplier
– Buy-in greater than $5,000: 8x multiplier
