The 4th Annual WPT California Swing

Since 2004, the World Poker Tour has had a late winter swing through the state of California, with the L.A. Poker Classic in Los Angeles followed closely by the Bay 101 Shooting Star in San Jose.

When WPT Rolling Thunder was added to the tour in 2014, the WPT formalized this segment of the tour as the “WPT California Swing,” offering a Grand Prize to the player who accumulated the most WPT Cali Swing points during the three California stops.

Here are the dates for the 4th Annual WPT California Swing:

February 25 – March 2 (Completed)
WPT L.A. Poker Classic
Commerce Casino in Commerce, CA

March 6-10
WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star
Bay 101 Casino in San Jose, CA

March 11-15
WPT Rolling Thunder
Thunder Valley Casino in Lincoln, CA

To qualify, players must enter all three events, and they will earn points based on how deep they survive in each event. The qualifying player who finishes with the most points will become the WPT California Swing champion and will receive the following prizes (valued at $10,000) during next season’s WPT California Swing:

1.  During the 2018 WPT L.A. Poker Classic, the winner will receive up to six nights of complimentary accommodation at the Commerce Casino’s Crowne Plaza Hotel, and complimentary airport transfer from LAX or Burbank Airport.

2.  During the 2018 WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star, the winner will be awarded Shooting Star status, and receive complimentary accommodation of up to $1,000 in value to attend the event.

3.  During the 2018 WPT Rolling Thunder, the winner will receive up to five nights of accommodation, plus a $500 food and beverage credit for use during the event.

The updated WPT California Swing leaderboard will be posted soon, and updated daily so players can see where they stand.
