Today's WPT Meet-and-Greet with Special Guest, Japanese Superstar GACKT

Before play began here on Day 1C of the WPT Legends of Poker, there was a WPT Meet-and-Greet for fans to interact with the WPT talent, along with a special guest, Japanese superstar GACKT. This photo was taken before it began, as GACKT was chatting with (from left to right) WPT Royal Flush Crewmember Brenden Johnson, WPT Commentator Vince Van Patten, and WPT Anchor Lynn Gilmartin.

GACKT rose to fame as a singer/songwriter, and set the record for most top ten consecutive singles by a male soloist in Japanese music history. His credentials go much further than that, as he’s gone on to act in films, even starring in a film he wrote himself, Moon Child.

GACKT has also had success as a poker player, finishing fifth in a $25,000 High Roller event at the Aria Resort & Casino last month against a tough field of top poker pros. This is the first WPT event for GACKT, but hopefully not his last.
