The second starting flight for the Season XV World Poker Tour® bestbet Bounty Scramble took place on Saturday, attracting 216 entries and growing the total field size to 379. That field size generated a prize pool of $1.762 million, smashing the $1 million guarantee, and the winner is set to receive $354,335, all in spite of the scare Hurricane Matthew provided to the event.

Finishing atop the second starting flight was Chris Limo with 220,000 in chips. Limo was awarded the $5,000 bonus for finishing as chip leader, and will enter Day 2 on Sunday as the third biggest stack behind Jean “Prince” Gaspard and Justin Zaki from Friday’s opening flight. Limo recently placed fourth for $207,569 in the Season XV WPT Borgata Poker Open Championship.

Tyler Patterson, the winner of this very event last year, surged to a day-ending 183,000 in chips. Patterson busted from Friday’s opening flight, but returned to action Saturday to give it another go. He will be glad he did so, as he’s now fifth overall heading into Day 2.

Other notables still remaining are Scott Clements (88,700), Olivier Busquet (66,700), Loni Harwood (58,500), the WPT’s
own Mike Sexton (51,200).

The top 48 spots will pay, and action will resume on Sunday at 12 p.m. ET. You can follow along with coverage right here on WPT.com.
