Killarney, the most famous Irish touristic town, will host the partypoker WPT® National Ireland festival starting on Sept. 4, 2016. The festival will run through Sept. 18 and is highlighted by the €250,000-guaranteed, €1,100 buy-in WPT National Ireland Main Event that takes place starting on Sept. 11.

But, the WPT National Ireland Main Event isn’t your normal poker tournament.

The event will start online, with two starting flights taking place on the virtual felt of partypoker, one on Sept. 11 and another on Sept. 14. Players will begin with 20,000 in tournament chips and play 24-minute levels. There will also be three live starting flights, taking place on Sept. 15 and 16. In this live tournament, players will begin with the same 20,000 in tournament chips, but levels will be 60 minutes in length. The advancing competitors from all of the starting flights will then come together on Sept. 17 for Day 2 before finishing the event on Sept. 18.

In addition to the highly anticipated €1,100 Main Event, the partypoker WPT National Ireland festival will feature the €115 Irish Grand Prix starting on Sept. 4 and the €2,150 High Roller starting on Sept. 17. Just like the WPT National Ireland Main Event, the Irish Grand Prix comes with a live and online component, plus a juicy €250,000 guarantee. The High Roller boasts a €50,000 guarantee and will only be played live.

The beautiful town of Killarney in Southwest Ireland is a must see. In the middle of the sumptuous Killarney National Park, surrounded by deep green lakes, magnificent mountains, historical castles ,and stately homes, it is a perfect spot to balance the tension at the poker tables with the calm beauty of nature.

Kerry Airport in Killarney is serviced by short, direct, and inexpensive flights from from Dublin, London, Frankfurt, and Manchester, along with connecting trains running from Farranfore railway station to Killarney railway station. Cork Airport is easily accessible by bus or rail and also serves the Kerry region and provides a wider range of international services.

By road, Killarney can be reached by National Primary Route N22 (north to Tralee and Castleisland and east to Cork), the National Secondary Routes N72 (west to Killorglin), and the N71 (south to Bantry).

Bus transportation service to and from Kerry Airport is also available. Bus Éireann provides bus services to Limerick (and onwards to Dublin), Tralee, Cork, Kenmare, and Skibbereen.
