Los Angeles, CA (February 24, 2017) – World Poker Tour® today announced that WPT® Beijing, a brand new event and location for the tour, will kick off Season XVI of the WPT in April 2017. Following the second annual WPT Tournament of Champions concluding Season XV, WPT Beijing will take place April 15-19 at NUO Hotel Beijing as part of the 2017 Ourgame Chess & Card Festival.
The WPT Beijing Main Event is capped at 400 players and will see a mix of international competitors and Ourgame PokerWorld satellite qualifiers battling for the first WPT Main Tour title to be awarded in China. The WPT Beijing Main Event runs April 15-19, 2017 and is the WPT’s second tour location in China, following WPT National Sanya that has taken place each of the last five years.

The WPT Beijing Main Event is part of the 2017 Ourgame Chess & Card Festival, which is anticipated to include events in other games such as bridge, mahjong, and more. More information will be released by the World Poker Tour when it is made available.
