The partypoker presents: WPT500 returns to Aria Resort & Casino on Thursday, July 2 with the final four starting flights, Day 2, and the final table. The event carries a whopping $2 million guarantee, and every player who reaches Day 2 earns a minimum of $2,000.

Live qualifiers are running now at ARIA. For more information and a full schedule of events, head to WPT.com.

We had a chance to talk with Team partypoker’s Jamie Kerstetter, who offers a few tips for both professionals and first-time players.

How excited are you for the return of the WPT500 at ARIA?

Jamie Kerstetter: I’m so excited for the second WPT500 at ARIA Resort & Casino! This tourney was one of the most fun events I played last year, and turned out to be a great summer saver for me.

How many bullets are you willing to fire?

JK: It depends how tilted I am from the summer. Possibly eleventy-billion bullets.

What is the best way to navigate such a huge field?

JK: You have to take some chances early on to run up a stack if you want to survive a huge field.

Are you playing differently than you would in any other tournament?

JK: I’ll play more aggressively in the beginning, knowing that I’m willing to fire a few bullets.

Is the $800 for making Day 2 going to affect your strategy? Will you play the earlier flights during the first weeks of June?

JK: If I’m short-stacked, I may play tighter to try to sneak into Day 2.

If you could give one piece of advice to new players who are coming to ARIA for this great event, what would it be?

JK: EAT AT LEMONGRASS! It’s the greatest Thai food of all time, and it’s right at ARIA!
