New York, NY (July 14, 2016) – The Seventh Annual Take ‘Em to School Poker Tournament, presented by WPT Foundation™ benefitting Education Reform Now, kicks off on Wednesday, July 20 at 6 pm at Gotham Hall in New York City. The special charity poker tournament raises funds for ERN’s work to advance high quality, public education for all students.

The tournament will feature 250 poker players battling for great prizes, including golf outings at exclusive clubs, power lunches with top investors, and limited edition World Poker Tour® swag. For those attending as cocktail guests, there will be a variety of casino games and entertainment. The event also features a full swing golf simulator, which will host longest drive and closest-to-the-pin contests. The event will also feature a keynote from U.S. Congressman Hakeem Jeffries, a supporter of ERN and an advocate for high quality public schools for all children.

Celebrity attendees have included legendary athletes Allan Houston, John Starks, Charles Smith, Dwight Gooden and Alex Kovalev; and professional poker players Andy Frankenberger, Erik Seidel, Sam Abernathy, Vanessa Selbst and Layne Flack. This years tournament will also include WPT Hosts Mike Sexton, Vince Van Patten, and Lynn Gilmartin, as well as many sports, TV, film and poker celebrities.
