Los Angeles, CA (October 25, 2016) – Hosted by Mel Gibson, Vince Vaughn, Andrew Garfield, and Gene Simmons, the WPT Foundation™ Presents Four Kings & An Ace Charity Poker Tournament brought together celebrities, professional athletes, music entertainers, World Poker Tour® talent and professionals, and donors on Friday, Oct. 21, 2016, to benefit Mending Kids.
Alongside the special charity poker tournament held at CITIZEN Beverly Hills, those in attendance were able to enjoy casino games and live and silent auctions, with proceeds benefiting Mending Kids, a California-based non-profit formed in 2006 that provides life-changing surgical care to children in need from around the globe.
Among those who attended the event were WPT® Co-Commentator Mike Sexton, WPT Anchor Lynn Gilmartin, and WPT Champions Club members Erik Seidel and Scotty Nguyen. The winner of the tournament was David O’Day.
“The funds raised from the Four Kings & An Ace Charity Poker Tournament will help Mending Kids provide life-saving surgeries to hundreds of children, and we cannot thank our donors enough for their wonderful generosity,” said Marchelle Sellers, Executive Director of Mending Kids. “We would especially like to thank Mel Gibson for his continued support of Mending Kids, and Vince Vaughn, Andrew Garfield, and Gene Simmons for helping host the event.”
