The Season XVI WPT Amsterdam €3,300 Main Event is down to the final 24 players from a field of 207 at Holland Casino. Leading the way is Justin Bonomo (pictured center) with a stack of 790,500, and he’ll be looking to ride his chip lead to his first World Poker Tour title.

Bonomo is making his 11th WPT Main Tour cash and adding to his more than $25.3 million in live tournament earnings, according to HendonMob.com.

The final 24 players are guaranteed €5,410, but they’re all really chasing the €156,370 first-place prize that the winner will take home. Included in the winning share is a $15,000 seat to the season-ending WPT Tournament of Champions.

Second in chips to Bonomo is Paul Berende with a stack of 662,500. Berende is no stranger to poker success and entered this event ninth on the Netherlands all-time money list with more than $2 million in live tournament earnings. Berende is making his third WPT Main Tour cash.

Also advancing to Day 3 was WPT Champions Club member Ema Zajmovic and recent WPT500 London winner Gary Miller. Zajmovic is looking for her second WPT title after becoming the first woman to win an open WPT Main Tour event when she won WPT Playground in Season XV. Miller topped a field of more than 1,800 entries to win £114,000 just a couple weeks ago.

Another outstanding story heading into Day 3 of the Season XVI WPT Amsterdam Main Event is that of Louis Salter, who advanced with ninth biggest stack left at 274,000 in chips. Salter’s run is especially notable because he placed second in this very event at the beginning of Season XVI. What’s more is that Salter took ninth in the WPT Amsterdam Main Event in Season XIV. With 600 points in the Hublot WPT Player of the Year race already under his belt from his runner-up finish earlier in the season, Salter could jump as high as ninth place in the race if he were to win this tournament.

Beatrice Alisauskaite (240,000) and Yuri Ishida (225,000) are also alive for Day 3.

Day 3 will begin at 2 p.m. local time on Thursday at Holland Casino, with the goal to play down to the official WPT final table of six. Be sure to stay tuned to WPT.com for continued coverage of the Season XVI WPT Amsterdam Main Event.
