The WPT Gardens Poker Festival is right around the corner, but satellites and side events begin on Friday, July 13, at the Gardens Casino in sunny Southern California. The Gardens will be running satellites everyday during the series leading up to the $5,000 buy-in WPT Gardens Main Event, and satellite buy-ins a mere $100! With the Gardens Casino adding $250,000 in cash and prizes to the prize pool, including a Mercedes-Benz SLC Roadster to the winner, you don’t want to miss any shots at getting in this kickoff event to Season XVII of the WPT Main Tour.

Looking deeper into the schedule for the two-week series, the action starts on Friday with a $100,000 guaranteed opening event that comes with a buy-in of $175. The guaranteed events continue in lead up to the $5,000 buy-in WPT Gardens Main Event, including a $30,000 guarantee on Saturday, July 14, a $40,000 guarantee on Sunday, July 15, and a $50,000 guarantee on Friday, July 20.

In addition to those lower buy-in events, players can find the $5,000 buy-in WPT Gardens Main Event starting Saturday, July 21, the $25,500 High Roller starting Tuesday, July 24, and the $2,200 8-Game Mix starting Wednesday, July 25. Click here for full schedule details.

The WPT Gardens Main Event will be the first tournament to use the WPT’s upgraded structure that allows for deep, efficient play. Players will start with 40,000 in chips, the big blind ante will be in play, and the Action Clock, provided by Protection Poker, will be implemented when the field is one table off the money.

The Gardens casino has undergone a drastic renovation in recent years, expanding its poker room to not only make it one of the finest rooms in Southern California but all across North America. A year ago, Gardens Casino GM Ron Sarabi sat down with the WPT to discuss the upgrades to the venue and the partnership with the World Poker Tour.
