Los Angeles, CA (June 12, 2020) – The World Poker Tour® and partypoker are raising the stakes once more this summer. The WPT® World Online Championships will take place from July 17-September 8, and features $100 million guaranteed across the festival.
Five players will join the WPT Champions Club through five WPT Main Tour Online Championship events. Four of these events feature a $3,200 buy-in and a $3 million guarantee, and will play across the 8-Max, 6-Max, Mix-Max, and Knockout formats.
The $10,300 buy-in WPT World Championship Online Main Event highlights the series with a $10 million guarantee. Players can qualify for this event with satellites starting at $4.40 all the up to the $1,050 buy-in Sunday Final. In addition, players are eligible to use their partypoker LIVE Passport to enter the World Championship Online Main Event and wave the $300 registration fee.
The WPT World Online Championship Main Event starts on August 29 with the first of two Day 1 flights and will play to a winner on September 2.
All five of the WPT Main Tour Online Championship events will include a $15,000 seat to the Season XVIII WPT Tournament of Champions presented by Baccarat Crystal.
The WPT World Online Championships features a diversity of events ranging in buy-ins from $33 up to $102,000, and includes satellites for all events.
The series includes 12 championship events across the Micro, Mini, and Main categories. As part of the 12 championship events, forms of poker including 8-Max, 6-Max, Mix-Max, Knockout, Pot Limit Omaha, Pot Limit Omaha Hi-Lo, and Heads Up will be featured. There will be at least one Micro championship and Mini championship event for each respective format.
