CRAZY TIMES

Nervous times! Home-cooked meals (courtesy 95% of the time by my lovely wife) and fear and loathing when forced to go to the grocery store. That’s been our reality for the last 15 weeks of course, as I’m sure it is the same for many of you!

Other things we are doing: we have a 17-year-old son who just finished the 11th grade!

Now during this weird summer time off keeping him occupied is somewhat challenging.

The highlight of my day is when he gets to go for a distance run. He is on the track team and quite a nice runner and the best thing about it is that he really loves it!

But the high school tracks are closed everywhere, so I drive him down to the neighborhood where he’ll run 3 to 5 miles and I’ll encourage him driving my car along the way! classic moments I’ll never forget.

My wife Eileen has time off and she is cleaning every nook and cranny of the house with great passion! I’m doing my own bit of cleaning, believe me. Plus certain honey-dos such as garbage duty, dog crap pick up, lawn chair cleanup, and Clorox cleaning the bags before we take any groceries into the house, among other things.

I’m also continuing to work with streaming on ClubWPT online and other special events for the World Poker Tour which keeps me very busy. It has been a pleasure to play on the site myself with club WPT members and the “stream team” chat! I am enjoying this immensely and I feel like I’ve made a lot of new friends and quite a few laughs.

I also find time in the day to mess around and throw some cards into a hat for no apparent reason, as you see below.

We feel very lucky and blessed that we are all healthy and avoiding the virus so far. We are very vigilant and luckily, it’s paying off!

The wife and I are definitely indulging in our happy hours. Seems to come earlier in the day for some reason and we’ve had some good times on the balcony watching the amazing sunsets! We will have a cocktail or two and listen to some great music and then not discuss our sometimes contrasting politics.

Along the way, I begrudgingly learned how to make a decent martini, as you can see by my look when I was learning a new task. This was on my first lesson and I’m a much happier mixer now.

I wish everyone well and I hope you are safe and healthy !! Stay strong ….and till next time, play loose and bluff on the river!
