Durant, OK (April 12, 2022) – The World Poker Tour® returns to Choctaw Casino & Resort in Durant, OK with a Main Tour event on May 13 – May 16 featuring a $3,800 buy-in and a $2 million guaranteed prize pool. The final six players will travel to Las Vegas to play the final table in the state-of-the-art HyperX Esports Arena on May 26. The final table will be broadcast on Bally Sports in late 2022.

WPT’s most recent Main Tour stop in Choctaw was in July 2021, where the $3,700 Main Event approached 1000 entries for a prize pool of over $3,000,000. Dapo Ajayi took home $558,610 and etched his name alongside the other members of the WPT Champions Club.

Additional events will be hosted from April 28 – May 16 as part of the 2022 WPT Choctaw festival, which kicks off with a $50,000 guaranteed Monster Stack on April 28. Other notable tournaments include the $1,000 buy-in $300,000 guarantee on May 11, and two $200,000 guaranteed prize pools on May 4 and May 7.
Players at WPT Choctaw will also be competing for the WPT Player of the Festival leaderboard, which awards a $1,100 WPT Prime Passport to the player with the most points over the course of each tournament festival.
