It wasn’t too long ago that the World Poker Tour announced a joint partnership with 888poker and Aspers Casino that will see the famed WPT500 come to London. The $565 buy-in WPT500 London tournament comes complete with a hefty $1 million guarantee and runs March 23-April 2, 2018.
What’s more is that 888poker will host a special online Day 1 on Sunday, March 11.
WPT500 London will be the ninth installment of the WPT500 series and the fourth time the event comes to the U.K. The first three trips to the U.K. for WPT500 were in Nottingham, and this partnership with 888poker and Aspers Casino will be the first time WPT500 comes to London. Other WPT500 events have been held in Las Vegas and Southern California. To date, WPT500 events have attracted more than 25,000 entries and awarded nearly $14 million in total prize money.

Following the completion of all Day 1s, WPT500 London will continue with Day 2 on Sunday, April 1, and then the final table will take place on Monday, April 2.
Players are allowed to play multiple Day 1s in an attempt to qualify for Day 2 with a larger chip stack than previously earned. As each starting flight will finish in the money, this also allows players to play and cash in multiple starting flights. Those qualifying for Day 2 with multiple stacks will take their best stack forward and forfeit all other chip stacks.
