At the end of Day 2 at WPT bestbet Open in Jacksonville, Florida, there were just 25 players in the hunt for the final table. The money bubble burst late last night, but once the field reached the money there was a bustout bonanza that quickly resulted in the final three tables.

The chip leader at the end of play last night was David Diaz with 1,705,000, who was selected as ClubWPT Player of the Day (video above). While Diaz is way out in front, the other top contenders shouldn’t be ruled out: Michael Linster (816,000), Ben Zamani (725,000), David Sands (692,000), and Tim Reilly (591,000).

Notables still in the hunt include Raj Vohra, Daniel Buzgon, Matt Giannetti, Tony Cousineau, and Matt Salsberg; who is running deep in a WPT Season XI event once again. After taking the lead in the Season XI Player of the Year race, Salsberg is now just increasing that lead with this deep run in Florida.

The familiar faces that cashed today were David Tuthill in 28th place and Ebony Kenney in 29th place. They each took home $7,138 in prize money. The pros that busted before the bubble today included WPT Champions Club members Noah Schwartz, Matt Waxman, Tommy Vedes, Will Failla, Ben Hamnett, and Jonathan Little.

Check back in at Noon ET today to see which players make the WPT final table of six. Play will not end tomorrow until that goal is accomplished, and you can follow along with all of the action with the WPT Live Updates team.
