The Season XIII WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open kicked off on Thursday with Day 1A of the Main Event. A total of 357 entries took to the felt and after 10 levels of play, 125 players punched their ticket to Day 2.
Leading the Day 1A bunch is Alexander Denisov with 220,100. Also bagging big stacks were Tim “TK” Miles (208,000), Sheldon Gross (192,800), Dab Dyke (189,500), Champions Club member Ryan Van Sanford (162,300), Allen “Chainsaw” Kessler (158,900), Champions Club member Darren Elias (152,000) , and “The Miami Boss,” Danny Suied (138,300).
Others notables who survived include Season XII Lucky Hearts runner-up Shannon Shorr (83,400), Champions Club member Will Failla (76,300), Faraz Jaka (74,900), BLUFF.com WPT Ones To Watch Justin Zaki (61,700), and Jason Mercier (53,500)
Among those who failed to survive the day include Aaron Massey, Jonathan Duhamel, Loni Harwood, Joe Kuether, and Champions Club members Noah Schwartz, Chino Rheem, Jared Jaffee, and Eric Afriat.
