The 4th Annual Global Poker Awards is set to take place live from the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas on March 3 with a total of 29 trophies handed out to a wide cross-section of the poker industry. The categories cover nearly every inch of the poker industry from Breakout Player of the Year to Best Event, Best Vlogger to Best Broadcaster – the awards are a celebration of what makes poker great.
While many of these categories are either won outright by on-the-felt results (GPI Poker Player of the Year) or voted on by a panel of industry members, there are four categories where the winner is determined solely by the fans. And now, first-round voting is open for anyone and everyone in the categories of Best Trophy, Best Hand, Poker Personality, and, new this year, Favorite Livestream.
Here’s what you need to know: first-round voting closes on Monday, February 6 and there’s only one vote in each category per person. The top four in each category will move on to the finals where, once again, the fans will have their say in determining the winner.
There are nine semi-finalists for Best Trophy including last year’s winner, the WPT Mike Sexton Champions Cup. Here is a look at all of the semi-finalists for fans to choose from:
