World Poker Tour returns to Asia in December for the first-ever WPT Korea event – and the final table of the WPT National China event – both held at the Ramada Plaza Hotel’s WPT Club Phoenix Poker Room on the beautiful island province of Jeju.

Beginning December 15, WPT Korea is a $2,700 + $300 buy-in event featuring two Day 1s with re-entry and is expected to draw a strong field filled with players from around the globe. Adding to the excitement surrounding the start of this event, World Poker Tour will, for the first time in its history, hold a live final table in conjunction with Day 1A of WPT Korea.

The final table players in the WPT National China event will all be flown to Jeju where they will be featured on the WPT Live Stream as they compete for that event’s title and more than $254,000 in first-place prize money on December 15. In addition to their final-table payouts, each player at the WPT National China final table will also receive a free entry to WPT Korea, where they can again compete to reach the live streamed final table on December 19. WPT Executive Tour Director Matt Savage will oversee all aspects of the action in Jeju while commentary at both the WPT National China final table live stream and the WPT Korea final table live stream will be provided by Tony Dunst, Xuan Liu, and Lacey Jones.

“After the success of our recent event in China, we’re looking forward to attracting a strong field in Jeju as we expand the WPT brand further into Asia,” said WPT President, Adam Pliska. “With two final tables playing out in the same venue just days apart, we’re confident that the launch of WPT Korea will be just the beginning of more WPT events throughout the region in coming seasons.”

On December 14, players can also participate in the two-day, $50,000 Super Elite Cup high-roller event. Featuring a single re-entry, $2,000 of each tournament buy-in will be donated to Incorporated Association Baknyunhwai, a volunteer organization dedicated to providing medical and living assistance to the elderly. As part of their buy-in, each player in this special event will also receive an entry to the WPT Korea championship event and complimentary hotel accommodations.

Located near the heart of downtown Jeju, the Ramada Plaza hotel offers dramatic ocean views and easy access to all of the shopping and entertainment options Jeju has to offer. Players interested in exploring more of the island will find plenty to enjoy at the Yeomiji Botanical Garden and the impressive Sangumburi Crater, which are both just a short car ride away.
