When Kimberly Lansing announced she was taking maternity leave, our crack team of talent scouts went looking for the perfect person to fill her anchor chair. After an exhaustive search, one woman displayed the charisma, humor, and poker savvy to take over the job.

Tune into the WPT Venice Grand Prix this Sunday at 8pm and 11pm local time on FOX Sports Net to meet the newest member of the WPT family, Marianela Pereyra. Though new to the cast, Marianela is already a poker celebrity in Venice, having struck up a Facebook friendship with Italian poker player and commentator, Flavio Ferrari Zumbini.

While Marianela’s WPT debut shouldn’t be missed, there’s more to this week’s broadcast than just natural beauty and style (we’re talking about both Marianela and Venice, obviously). Featuring a truly international final table, the WPT Venice Grand Prix has plenty of exciting poker action on tap as four Italians, a Dane, and a Russian all battle for the winner’s share of an $889,000 prize pool.

Of course, Mike Sexton, Vince Van Patten, and The Royal Flush Girls all made the trip to Venice as well, and will be on hand to call all of the action and provide you with exclusive behind-the-scenes looks at life on the World Poker Tour.
