Day 1A at the WPT Caribbean stop at Casino Royale in St. Maarten has come to a close and about 45 players have advanced to Day 2, which will take place on Thursday, November 21. There were a total of 75 entrants today and a larger number is expected for Day 1B on Wednesday.

Any player that busted today can re-enter once tomorrow (the same goes for any player that starts the tournament tomorrow, granted they purchase the re-entry before the end of Level 6). Only two players re-entered today so there are over 30 players that now have the option to do so tomorrow.

The chip leader at the end of the night was none other than Marvin Rettenmaier with 104,400. Other top stacks include Marko Neumann with 104,100 and Julian Thomas with 100,900. Notables that advanced today were Sean Jazayeri, Steve Gee, Mike Linster, Jordan Cristos, Giacomo Fundaro, Ken Aldridge, Joe Kuether, Anthony Zinno, John Espisito, Micah Raskin, and Michael Watson.

There were some familiar faces that busted today, but most of them will be back tomorrow after they enjoy the surrounding turqouise waters and sunshine in the afternoon. Those players include Will Failla, Jonthan Roy, David Peters, Byron Kaverman, James Joyner, and Ebony Kenney. Jake Schwartz won’t be back though because he fired both bullets today. ClubWPT Qualifier Tom Oakes was also eliminated today, but he will stick around for a few days to enjoy some fun in the sun with the Royal Flush Firls and Vince Van Patten.

Day 1B will begin at 4 p.m. tomorrow and you can follow along with all of the action from the WPT Live Updates team when cards get into the air in the Caribbean.
