Day 1B of the partypoker World Poker Tour Vienna Main Event had a total of 139 unique players, 16 re-entries and 98 survivors when it was all said and done. Hungarian Diego Ventura bagged the chip lead with 126,200, which means that Matias Ruzzi has the overall chip lead heading into Day 2 with 176,900.

Everyone in the world of poker is already used to the following, but Mustapha Kanit once again bagged up a big stack. Kanit takes 99,300 to Day 2 and with that he’s in the Top 10 of the chip counts.

Julian Thomas from Germany also had a good day and bagged up 86,600. Greek pro Georgios Zisimopoulos took 81,500 to Day 2, while Andras Nemeth (76,700), Johan Storakers (73,400), Jens Lakemeier (73,300) and Ole Schemion (pictured – 68,800) also had good starting flights.

Play resumes Thursday with Day 2, before which players have one last chance to re-enter or enter this event. One player has already been confirmed for tomorrow, and that is German star Fedor Holz.
