Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort Hosts Four-Day, CAD $5,000 Buy-In

Los Angeles, CA (February 19, 2016) – For a third consecutive season, the World Poker Tour® returns to Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort for the CAD $5,000 buy-in WPT® Fallsview Poker Classic from February 21-24. Last season, Anthony Zinno began his historic run in WPT events at Niagara Falls, topping a field of 419 entries to win the WPT Fallsview Poker Classic and more than CAD $380,000. Zinno followed up his big win in Canada with another victory in the WPT LA Poker Classic, en route to capturing Hublot WPT Player of the Year honors.
The Season XIV WPT Fallsview Poker Classic festival kicked off on Tuesday with a CAD $1,100 buy-in side event, attracting 1,305 entries and generating prize pool of CAD $1,265,850. Single-table satellites for the CAD $5,000 buy-in WPT Main Tour event are running every day, and there is a massive CAD $550 buy-in mega satellite scheduled for Saturday at 3:00 pm. Dozens of players have already won their entry into the WPT Fallsview Poker Classic, including six partypoker.net qualifiers – four from Canada, one from Brazil, and one from the Czech Republic.
At Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort, players and their families will enjoy many activities off of the felt, including tours of Niagara Falls and local wineries. Beyond the historic landmark falls, Niagara is filled with local bars and restaurants, catering to all tastes. The resort features several designer boutiques; the $4 million, 10,000 square-foot Dragonfly Nightclub; and the largest poker room in all of Ontario.
The final table of the Main Tour event kicks off in the Grand Hall at 4 pm on Wednesday, February 24. Friends and family of the finalists, along with fans of the World Poker Tour, are welcome to come watch the exciting conclusion of the WPT Fallsview Poker Classic, where we will qualify another WPT Champions Club member for the historic season-ending WPT Tournament of Champions.
