PMU.fr WPT National Marrakech festival kicks off Saturday at Casino De Marrakech with a few side events, including the WPT Opening and WPT Warm Up events. The festival features a €1,200 buy-in Main Event with a €300,000 guarantee on October 1. The venue will be a host of World Poker Tour players for nine days, offering more than a dozen events with a wide range of buy-in levels and structures.
Many of the region’s best players are expected to participate, as is famous French rapper La Fouine.
Es Saadi Gardens & Resort, the location of WPT event, is set right in the soul of Marrakech city. It is known for its large park leading to hotels and villas, swimming pools and Moroccan spas, and restaurants and bars. Casino De Marrakech is part of the complex, and it is the leading casino in Marrakech, which was founded back in 1952. Es Saadi means “the happy one,” so no wonder the enchanting atmosphere beckons guests to return year after year. Marrakech has a remarkable climate with more than 300 days of sunshine, an average temperature of 20 degrees C and is only three hours away from Western Europe.
The Main Event has a guarantee of €300,000, with the buy-in of €1,200. Players will receive 30,000 chips and play for 60 minutes per level. There is only one starting day, and the whole event will take place from October 1-4. The full schedule is available below:
Cash games are open 24/7 for the entire period of the festival. In addition to Texas Hold’em and Omaha, players will be able to play Chinese Poker, Black Jack and many other games.
