Nearly four years after WPT National Bohemia, World Poker Tour returned to Rozvadov with another poker festival, partypoker WPT National Rozvadov. King’s Casino opened its doors to 312 players for the €1,100 buy-in Main Event, nearly doubling the €200,000 guaranteed prize pool. The top 45 players earned a piece of the €362,780 prize pool, and Manig Loeser, who started the final day with one of the shortest stacks, was the last player standing, earning the €76,000 first-place prize and the WPT National crystal trophy.

After 33 levels of play, Loeser and Jeffrey Brouwer played the final hand of the tournament. Loeser opened with Ks8h on the button, Brouwer called in the big blind holding 9h8s, and the flop was 3c8c7d, Brouwer checked, Loeser bet 310,000, and Brouwer called. The turn was the 8d, and Brouwer led out for 450,000. Loeser called. The 2h completed the board, Brouwer moved all in for 3 million and Loeser called with the superior kicker.

Later, Loeser commented on the winning hand, saying, “Standard setup; just unlucky for him.”
