Los Angeles, CA (August 10, 2016) – WPT Foundation™ is proud to team up with Dusk Till Dawn and partypoker for the inaugural Devilfish Cup, celebrating the life and achievements of Dave “Devilfish” Ulliott. The tournament will take place at Dusk Till Dawn, Nottingham, England during the partypoker-sponsored World Poker Tour® UK festival.
The Devilfish Cup begins on Monday, Oct. 31, 2016, and boasts a £1 million guarantee with a £5,000 buy-in and £300 donation. All donations, plus 3% of the prize pool, will be collected and split between Marie Curie, a philanthropic organization which has offered support to terminally ill patients since 1948, and a trust fund for Ulliott’s daughter, Lucy, which she will receive on her 16th birthday.
The winner of the event will also be awarded the top prize and trophy, presented by Dave’s wife, Anpaktita Ulliott.
“Rob Yong, owner of Dusk Till Dawn, announced after Dave’s funeral that we would wait a while before announcing plans to honor him,” said Simon Trumper, Dusk Till Dawn Club Director and friend of Ulliott. “During his last few days, Rob visited Dave and asked him how he wanted to be remembered. He asked us to hold a high buy-in event at the club, as Dave was always proud of his WPT Tunica win. We thought it fitting to replace this year’s High Roller with the Devilfish Cup. World Poker Tour and WPT Foundation have been great and it is a pleasure to be working with them on this inaugural event.”

partypoker has planned a large schedule of satellites to help make this event accessible for a wide array of bankroll levels, and qualifiers begin as little as one cent.
Dusk Till Dawn will further honor Ulliott by renaming both the venue bar and his favorite drink on the menu, a double vodka Red Bull, to “The Devilfish.” Finally, there will be a party in true Devilfish style held on Wednesday, Nov. 2 with a live band playing all of Ulliott’s favorite tunes, including “Johnny Be Good.”
