Day 2 of the Season XV World Poker Tour® bestbet Bounty Scramble took place on Sunday. When it was all said and done, Noah Schwartz, winner of this very event in Season XI, was the chip leader with a stack of 949,000. No player has ever won the same WPT® event twice, but Schwartz has positively positioned himself to become the first.

Also looking to become the first player to win the same event on the WPT is Tyler Patterson, who finished with 464,000 in 10th place on the leaderboard. Patterson is the defending champion of this event.

Along with Noah Schwartz and Tyler Patterson, Marvin Rettenmaier, second overall with 862,000 in chips, and Seth Davies, 16th on the leaderboard with 338,000 are the other WPT Champions Club members remaining.

From the 142 players that started Day 2, just 25 remained to head into Day 3. The top 48 players from the 379-entry field were set to reach the money, and finishing in 49th place as the event’s official “bubble boy” was tour regular Matt Stout.

Stout moved all in from the under-the-gun position for 105,000 with the blinds at 2,500/5,000/500. It was the first hand of hand-for-hand play on the bubble, and Stout was called by Pete Theodocion in the hijack seat. Everyone else folded, and it was Stout’s Diamond ADiamond K against the Heart QClub Q of Theodocion. The flop, turn, and river ran out Diamond 10Spade 10Spade 5Diamond QClub 6 to signal the end of the road for Stout.

Stout was one of the many bestbet bounty players in the event, and Theodocion scored the $2,500 bounty bonus.

Those to bust in the money included Olivier Busquet (30th), Anthony Zinno (31st), Matt Glantz (36th), Josh Kay (45th), and Ian O’Hara (48th).

Among the field remaining, Rettenmaier, Byron Kaverman, Patterson, and Garrett Greer are the bestbet bounty players left.

The final 25 players are guaranteed $11,409 and vying for the $354,335 top prize. Day 3 will begin Monday at 12 p.m. ET from bestbet Jacksonville, and you can follow along with coverage right here on WPT.com.
