WPT® Borgata Poker Open Championship Draws More Than 1,000 Entries for Eighth Consecutive Year

The second starting flight in the Season XV World Poker Tour® Borgata Poker Open Championship drew over 700 entries and pushed the total field size to over 1,000, making it the eighth consecutive year that the WPT Borgata Poker Open Championship has draw more than 1,000 entries. Finishing atop the approximate 415 survivors from Monday’s play was Vasillios Hrisafinis with 193,300 in chips.

Farid Jattin from Sunday’s opening day remained the only player to bag up more than 200,000 in chips heading into Day 2.

Other notable players who bagged up healthy stacks up on Monday were Zachary Gruneberg  (168,000), Mike Vela (162,800), Paul Volpe (162,100), Blair Hinkle (153,400), and Michael Wang (149,500).

Tuesday’s Day 2 will begin at 12 p.m. local time at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City. The remaining 560 players or so, plus any late entries or re-entries, will begin playing in Level 9 with the blinds at 500/1,000/100. Late registration and re-entry will remain open until the start of Level 11.
