Los Angeles, CA (November 23, 2016) – The World Poker Tour® returns to Bellagio in Las Vegas for the televised Season XV WPT® Five Diamond World Poker Classic Main Event on December 5-10, 2016.
The Five Diamond World Poker Classic has been a part of the World Poker Tour for all 15 seasons, dating back to 2002. The Main Event has awarded more than $77 million in prize money through the first 14 seasons and is where illustrious WPT Champions Club members Gus Hansen, Daniel Negreanu, Joe Hachem, and Antonio Esfandiari were crowned.
The $10,400 Main Event highlights a 23-event schedule which runs November 25-December 10 at the world-class Bellagio. Main Event players will start with 30,000 in tournament chips, levels will last 90 minutes each, and registration will remain open until the start of Level 9 at approximately 5:15 p.m. PT on December 6. Re-entries are permitted during the open registration period.
In addition to the first-place prize money, the champion will be awarded a luxurious Hublot® King Power Unico Carbon and Red watch, a pair of gold Monster® 24K headphones, have his or her name engraved on the WPT Champions Cup, and win a $15,000 entry into the season-ending WPT Tournament of Champions.

Last year’s Season XIV WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic Main Event attracted 639 entries and generated a prize pool of $6.2 million. Kevin Eyster scored the victory and won nearly $1.6 million.
In addition to the $10,400 Main event, the Season XV WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic schedule includes two $25,000 High Roller events, taking place on December 8 and December 9, and a $100,000 Super High Roller on December 10.
