Los Angeles, CA (February 1, 2017) – The World Poker Tour® returns to Playground Poker Club in Kahnawake, Quebec, Canada for the third time in Season XV with the partypoker.net WPT® Playground. Boasting a C$1 million guaranteed prize pool, the C$3,500 Main Event takes place February 10-15, 2017, as part of a jam-packed 16-event schedule.
The C$3,500 Main Event features two starting days and a starting stack of 30,000 in chips. Players are allowed one entry and one re-entry per starting day, up until the start of Level 7. Competitors may opt to forfeit a stack in order to re-enter before the close of registration on each starting day, and those who qualify for Day 2 more than once will take their largest chip stack forward.
The full partypoker.net WPT Playground series began on Sunday, January 29 with the Wild $150, a no-limit hold’em tournament with a C$150 buy-in and a C$100,000 guaranteed prize pool. Other schedule highlights include the $250 Frenzy, a C$250 no-limit hold’em tournament with a C$200,000 guaranteed prize pool, starting on Friday, February 3, and the C$1,650 No-Limit Hold’em Second Chance starting on Monday, February 13 with a C$150,000 guarantee.

The World Poker Tour’s last trip to Playground Poker Club took place in November 2016 for the partypoker.net WPT Montreal. Mike Sexton emerged victorious over the field of 648 entries in the C$3,850 Main Event to win his first WPT title and C$425,980 in prize money.
