WPT Commentator Mike Sexton thrilled the fans on the rail with a deep run, finishing 21st, while Ebony Kenney bubbled Day 3, finishing in 10th.

There were two partypoker qualifiers who made it to Day 2 — Richard King and Ashley Cheung. King busted early, while Cheung made a deep run to cash in 25th place, receiving high praise from Mike Sexton along the way. There were also two ClubWPT.com qualifiers in the Day 2 field — David Schillaci and Rami Abdella. Schillaci finished 197th, while Abdella made it all the way to 123rd, passing two pay jumps along the way.

Before play began today, WPT Commentator Mike Sexton led the field in a moment of silence honoring the memory of Matthew Hauge, who passed away over the weekend after making it thru Day 1B last week. Hauge’s chip stack was blinded off and survived two pay-jumps before being felted in 136th place. Arrangements are being made to deliver his earnings of $2,500 to Hauge’s family.

The final table begins Wednesday at 2:00 pm PT, and WPT.com will be providing hand-for-hand coverage right here in the WPT Live Updates.
