Running Aug. 19-25, 2016, WPT National Montreal is just around the corner, taking place at Playground Poker Club in Kahnawake, Quebec, Canada.
The event features a $400,000 guaranteed prize pool, and players will have plenty of shots at a big payday thanks to the affordable CAD 600 buy-in and seven starting flights with a re-entry format. Unlimited re-entry will be allowed in each starting flight up until the beginning of Level 8, and players will begin with 15,000 in tournament chips.
The event will see five percent of each starting flight go through to Day 2, all finishing in the money. With the option to play multiple starting flights, players have the opportunity to cash more than once in the event.
Day 1A will see the cards in the air at 10 a.m. local time on Friday, Aug. 19, and there will be additional starting flights running each day through Tuesday, Aug. 23. On both Monday, Aug. 22 and Tuesday, Aug. 23, there will be special turbo starting flights at 7 p.m. local time.
The WPT National Montreal is part of the World Cup of Cards hosted by Playground Poker Club. The venue is located just 20 minutes from downtown Montreal and was established in 2010.
